Good Intentions Bar and Restaurant

For our latest Business Spotlight, the City of Beaumont is proud to recognize one of downtown’s newest additions that's already making a strong impression on the community: Good Intentions Bar & Restaurant.

Prominently located at the corner of 6th Street and Beaumont Avenue, Good Intentions has quickly become a gathering place for residents looking for great food, welcoming hospitality, and a fresh new energy in Beaumont’s dining scene. Officially opened in February 2026, the restaurant has already received overwhelming community support, earning more than a dozen Business Spotlight nominations from local residents.

What stands out most in those nominations is the atmosphere owner Alicia Faulkner and her team have created. Guests consistently describe Good Intentions as warm, lively, welcoming, and community-oriented: a place equally suited for family dinners or nights out with friends.

During our visit, Faulkner shared that her goal was to create the kind of locally owned restaurant that Beaumont deserves: a place with high-quality food, strong hospitality, and an environment where people genuinely enjoy spending time together. She also emphasized that Good Intentions was intentionally designed to be “a great restaurant that has a bar,” rather than simply a bar that serves food, a distinction reflected in the care and attention given to the menu and dining experience.

That attention to quality can be seen – and tasted – throughout the menu, from house-made sauces to meals prepared fresh to order. The focus on scratch-made elements and thoughtful preparation has quickly become one of the many reasons customers continue to return.

Community members praised the restaurant’s fresh approach, attentive staff, and the excitement it has brought to downtown Beaumont, saying “It’s something we didn’t know Beaumont needed until we got it.”

Many nominators noted the significance of seeing a locally connected, first-time business owner bring a new concept to life in Beaumont, contributing to the continued evolution of the downtown experience.

From lunch to dinner and drinks, Good Intentions is helping create the kind of vibrant, welcoming environment that encourages people to gather, stay local, and support Beaumont businesses.
