Utilities & Infrastructure

With ample utilities and robust infrastructure, Beaumont is ideally positioned to support your business needs. The city continuously works to improve infrastructure through its Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), with $24.3 million in funding programmed from FY2022 through FY2026. CIP funding includes street, quality of life, and wastewater improvement projects.


The city’s location along three major highways, Interstate 10, State Route 60, and Highway 79, provides access across California and the country and direct rail access to industrial land. The city is nestled between two close airports (Ontario and Palm Springs) and provides businesses with direct rail access to industrial land. 


Water & Sewer

Water is supplied by Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District and sourced by the underground aquifer, Beaumont Basin. Water is pumped from the Beaumont Basin and/or Edgar Canyon via groundwater wells. In cooperation with the City of Beaumont, the District has also worked to create a new water system that runs parallel to the existing system to distribute recycled water from the Beaumont wastewater. Recycled water is non-potable and has separate pipes from potable water.

Sewer service is provided by the City of Beaumont. The city’s wastewater treatment plan has been upgraded to treat 6 million gallons per day and will eventually be capable of producing 8 million gallons per day of high-quality recycled water.

Natural Gas

Gas service in Beaumont is supplied by Southern California Gas Company. SoCalGas is committed to providing customers with safe, reliable service that goes beyond natural gas and works to improve the quality of life for the communities it serves.

Telephone service in Beaumont is provided by Verizon. Options are available for TV/cable services and high-speed and fiber-optic internet services.
