In cooperation with the City of Beaumont, the District has also worked to create a new water system that runs parallel to the existing system to distribute recycled water from the Beaumont wastewater. Recycled water is non-potable and has separate pipes from potable water.
Sewer service is provided by the City of Beaumont. The city’s wastewater treatment plan has been upgraded to treat 6 million gallons per day and will eventually be capable of producing 8 million gallons per day of high-quality recycled water.
