The Beaumont Economic Development Department partners with a variety of organizations to further economic development in Beaumont and bring vital services and resources to prospective and established businesses. Our team coordinates with local and regional educational and workforce-development partner organizations to ensure that available workforce training resources are in sync with the city’s business development efforts, including retention and expansion, industry targeting, retraining programs for positions under threat of automation, and employer outreach findings.

The City of Beaumont and Beaumont Economic Development work with local and regional educational organizations to develop a strong, educated workforce for Beaumont businesses. Area colleges and universities provide valuable workforce development tools and work with employers to customize programs to retain, skill, and upskill their existing workforce.

Small Business Administration (SBA)

The SBA helps small businesses thrive by providing free business counseling, access to capital, entrepreneurial development, government contracting, and advocacy, and provides SBA-guaranteed loans.

SBA Loans

To promote small business formation and growth, the national Small Business Administration Loan Program provides loans to qualified applicants when financing is unavailable through typical lending channels.

The SBA's Microloan Program provides small, short-term loans to specific small businesses and not-for-profit child-care centers.

SCORE

An active partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) is a national, non-profit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start up or grow. The effort in Beaumont is part of the Inland Empire Chapter.

SCORE provides Beaumont’s small businesses with FREE business mentoring. They also offer business workshops and webinars to Beaumont businesses.

Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (IE-SBDC)

The City of Beaumont partners with the IE-SBDC to provide vital resources and services to Beaumont entrepreneurs and small businesses. 

Business Development Workshops

New, prospective, and seasoned business owners can take advantage of free business workshops through the IE-SBDC. Workshop topics vary and include business start-up, financial tools, email marketing, and social media.

One-on-One Business Consulting

Free, confidential business consulting sessions are available for new and existing Beaumont businesses and residents. Group sessions, which are scheduled in advance, are hosted at the Beaumont Civic Center or Community Recreation Center (CRC).
