Regional Vendor Fair to Connect Businesses with Public-Sector Opportunities

Businesses interested in working with cities, schools, utilities, and other public agencies are invited to attend the upcoming Regional Vendor Fair on Wednesday, October 7, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Chatigny Community Recreation Center in Beaumont.

The free event will bring together procurement representatives from public agencies throughout the region, including local cities, school and community college districts, special districts, utilities, and other government organizations. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet agency staff, learn about current and future contracting opportunities, receive assistance with vendor registration, and gain a better understanding of public procurement requirements.

The Regional Vendor Fair is open to all prospective vendors, whether they are experienced government contractors or exploring public-sector opportunities for the first time. Beaumont-area businesses, along with small and diverse businesses from across the region, are especially encouraged to attend.

Public agencies purchase far more than construction and infrastructure services. They also need everything from office supplies, printing, catering, technology, landscaping, maintenance, and promotional products to consulting, training, communications, and other professional services. If your business provides a product or service that helps an organization operate, there may be an opportunity for you in public-sector contracting.

Many businesses, however, may not know where to find those opportunities, how to register as a vendor, or what is required to submit a successful bid or proposal. By bringing businesses and agency representatives together in one location, the Regional Vendor Fair is designed to make the procurement process more accessible, transparent, and competitive.

For the City of Beaumont, the event also supports ongoing efforts to expand its vendor pool and increase opportunities for local businesses. At the same time, its regional format will give attendees access to potential opportunities with multiple agencies throughout Riverside County and the surrounding area.

The Regional Vendor Fair is free, and advance registration is recommended but not required. Walk-ins are welcome. Coffee, tea, water, and light snacks will be provided.
