The City of Beaumont has launched the new Pass Area Business Hub (Biz Hub), a one-stop resource center designed to connect local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and start-ups with the tools they need to grow and succeed. The Biz Hub is made possible through a partnership with Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) and Riverside County, working collaboratively to expand business support across the Pass Area.

The Biz Hub provides streamlined access to city services, technical assistance, and information on funding, permitting, workforce training, and networking opportunities. By bringing key partners and programs together in one central location, Beaumont is making it easier than ever to start, operate, and expand a business in the community.

The city created the Biz Hub in response to a clear need for a dedicated space where local businesses could grow, connect, and thrive. To bring this vision to life, Riverside County provided $1.7 million in funding to purchase the building, and the City of Beaumont invested an additional $700,000 to transform it into a modern, collaborative business resource center.

"This isn’t just a Beaumont project—it’s a regional asset,” said Mayor Mike Lara. “By partnering with neighboring cities, local organizations, and industry leaders, we’re strengthening the economic ecosystem across the Pass and creating more opportunities for businesses to grow and thrive."

Through the Biz Hub, businesses can access:

• MSJC – Not-for-credit contract education and community education programs.
• Riverside County Office of Economic Development – Resources supporting international trade, small business growth, manufacturing, veterans’ programs, and more.
• Office of 5th District Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez – Workforce and community programs including Employer Connect, Hire a Senior, Hire a Veteran, Youth Community Corps, and youth employment services.
• Riverside County Workforce Development – Employer support (hotline, wage subsidies, recruitment), job seeker services (coaching, résumé help, job search tools), and youth programs (training, leadership development, mentoring).
• California Employment Development Department (EDD) – No-cost training, labor market data, employer resources, and job-matching services.
• California Family Life Center (CFLC) – Work experience, educational support, and job-readiness programs, including services for justice-impacted youth and young people with disabilities.
• OC/IE SBDC & Coachella Valley SBDC – No-cost consulting, training, and access-to-capital support for small businesses.
• City of Beaumont Economic Development – A single point of contact for businesses opening, expanding, or relocating in Beaumont.

The Biz Hub reflects Beaumont’s strong commitment to fostering a resilient local economy, creating jobs, and supporting the small businesses that form the backbone of the community. Its foundation—built on partnership with MSJC and Riverside County—ensures long-term support for businesses throughout the Pass Area.

The Biz Hub is located at 514 N California Avenue in Beaumont and now open to the public (hours may vary). For more information, visit https://beaumontcabusiness.gov/about-us/pass-area-biz-hub or contact BizHub@beaumontca.gov
