The Beaumont City Council has adopted a new Economic Development Strategic Plan to guide the City’s economic development efforts through 2031.

Developed in partnership with TIP Strategies and informed by economic research and extensive stakeholder input, the 2026–2031 plan establishes a roadmap for building a more diversified, balanced, and resilient local economy.

The plan focuses on six strategic initiatives:

  • Business retention and expansion

  • Growth of target industries

  • Stronger retail corridors

  • Activation of strategic land and sites

  • Enhanced quality of place

  • Promotion and positioning of Beaumont

Together, these initiatives will guide efforts to support local businesses, attract quality jobs and investment, strengthen commercial areas, advance Downtown Beaumont revitalization, and generate the revenues needed to sustain high-quality public services.
